Beach Background. Massage Therapy in Traverse City, MI

Spencer Biddinger, Licensed Massage Therapist in Traverse City, MI
A Michigan native and Traverse City transplant, Spencer has long emphasized the importance of health and wellness in everyday life. In college, she studied Environmental Health, as well as Gender and Health at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  While at U of M, she developed a passion for yoga, nutrition, and holistic health care. In 2016, Spencer spent time in Bali, Indonesia, furthering her yoga experience and training, and it was in Bali that she was introduced to massage therapy. Receiving massage and bodywork therapies on a regular basis, Spencer experienced positive changes to not only her body, but to her emotional state as well.

Having witnessed the benefits of massage therapy to her mental well being, reduced stress levels, and increased self confidence fist-hand, Spencer decided to share her experiences with others. She enrolled at the Mind Body Institute in Traverse City, MI with a genuine desire to bring relief and ease to her clients’ daily lives. Spencer combines scientific knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and other hard health sciences with the skills and ideas she accumulated from her experience with yoga and other holistic approaches to health care to provide an individualized massage experience for every client. She facilitates a hands-on experience to sessions with open communication, active listening, and active participation from her clients.

In her free time Spencer takes every advantage she can of this incredible place we get to call home. She enjoys being outside and hiking with her husband, Dr. Ryan, and two big, fluffy dogs Moose and Leo. In the warmer months she loves anything and everything water related; from swimming and surfing, to diving and rock hunting. During the winter, you’ll likely find her skiing, or trying to get Moose and Leo to come back inside (they can’t get enough of the snow!).
